The

presents
With the Maryland Center for Community Development &
Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger and Hollander, LLC
“Developing a Franchise
Business”
This workshop will provide a wealth of information to
anyone who is thinking about opening a franchise. Participants will hear from
Diedre R. Lee, Program Manager for Business Development of the Manna Community
Development Corporation (CDC) in Washington, DC., which recently signed a
franchise agreement with Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream. In addition to this first hand
testimonial, there will be presentations about the nitty-gritty details of
franchise businesses, including information from three franchiser entities:
Choice Hotels, Subway and The Cleaning Authority. The workshop will also have
lenders and attorneys on hand to provide advice and answer logistical questions
about the franchising process. “Developing a Franchise Business” will be a
well-rounded introduction to franchising.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003 from
9am to 12:30pm at the Peabody Court Hotel in Mt. Vernon Place. The registration
fee is $25, including a continental breakfast. For more information or to
register, please contact Rebecca Leamon at the Community Law Center - (410)
366-0922, x211 or by email
mail@communitylaw.org.
The sponsors of this event hope to provide a vital boost to
redevelopment efforts in the distressed areas of Baltimore City. Please feel
free to forward this email to anyone who may be interested in attending this
workshop. We thank you for your assistance in spreading the word!
